How did the monkey cross the road? By performing a high voltage wire routine. Gregg Bleakney caught the primate’s act while in Bundi, India. Fog enshrouds the abandoned Tripureshwar Mahadev Mandir Temple, a cultural heritage site in Nepal. It was built as a traditional Newari temple by Queen Lalita Tripura Sundari in 1818. Located in Kathmandu, there has been talk of restoring this veiled temple. Larry Louie‘s image is included in the World in Focus 2011 online gallery.

Contrails from a streaking jet bisect the Moon as Jose Lins observes from the French city of Arles.

A Buddhist monk hit a snag while crossing the road. Travel photographer Sharon Tenenbaum was there to capture the moment as he looked “back at me with an embarrassed face and a smile.” This image was included in the winners gallery of the 2010 PDN World In Focus travel photography contest.
